PURPOSE: A device and a method for measuring dog bone profile of a hot plate using a CCD(Charge Coupled Device) camera and laser slit light are provided to improve an estimate level and a width control level of the RSU(Roug hing Mill Set-Up) by improving the estimate level of width spread by the dog bone. CONSTITUTION: A device for measuring dog bone profile of a hot plate using a CCD(Charge Coupled Device) camera and laser slit light includes a laser slit light generator(1) for generating laser slit light in the vicinity of edges of a driving side and a working side, a CCD camera(2) for capturing an injection line of laser slit light formed on the surfaces of the driving side and the working side, a laser controller(8) for controlling the laser slit light generator, and an image processing system(4) for quantitatively calculating dog bone profile of the driving side and the working side by processing image.
