PURPOSE: A device for controlling tension of a push arm for a side looper is provided to control tension of a material entering the side looper only with a cylinder by minimizing vibration of the push arm. CONSTITUTION: A device for controlling tension of a push arm for a side looper includes a round shaft mounting hole(10) and a rectangular roller mounting hole(20) formed at both ends of a push arm, a connection member(30) projecting from a side part of the shaft mounting hole, a hinging shaft(13) inserted into the shaft mounting hole(10) through a ball bearing(11) and a bushing(12), a roller shaft(23) inserted into the roller mounting hole through a bracket(22) having a hole fixing key(21), an absorption member(40) covered on the circumference of the connection member for absorbing shock of the push arm, and a guide plate(50) connected and fixed with a projection(13a) of the hinge shaft and bolted at an upper surface of the absorption member.
