PURPOSE: An enhancing method for the sensitivity of a rare earth elementary analysis is provided to quantitatively analyze a rare earth element having a low density by enhancing the analysis sensitivity of an atomic spectrometry. CONSTITUTION: To accurately and quantitatively analyze a rare earth element, an oxidizing agent is added to a sample solution to obtain a band spectrum about the monoxide of the rare earth element from the sample solution. The oxidizing agent is selected from one among perchloric acid, double ammonium sulfate peroxide and potassium permanganate. The density of the oxidizing agent is 0.01 to 50 mols in the sample solution.
