METHOD FOR CONTINUOUS ANNEALING FERRITIC STAINLESS STEEL FOR PREVENTING NECKING DEFORMATION IN WIDTH DIRECTION

PURPOSE: A method is provided to prevent necking deformation in the width direction and obtain homogeneous fine structure, thereby securing superior mechanical properties by controlling proper annealing temperature and time, and line tension in case of continuous annealing a hot rolled material of 409L steel. CONSTITUTION: In a method for continuous annealing a hot rolled material after hot rolling ferritic stainless steel containing 11 wt.% of Cr, 0.2 wt.% of Ti, and 0.01 wt.% of C, the method for continuous annealing the ferritic stainless steel for preventing necking deformation in the width direction comprises the process of performing the annealing by controlling a temperature of the material to 930 to 950 deg.C, and a line tension applied to the material to 0.5 kgf/mm2 or less, wherein the annealing is maintained for 90 seconds.
