PURPOSE: A method for producing plants having anti-viral property by introducing PKR gene is provided, thereby the insertion of foreign gene can be safely accomplished without any side-effects. CONSTITUTION: The plant having anti-viral property is produced by transforming plants with a vector pBCB-PKR (KCTC 0823P) containing Arabidopsis blue copper binding protein promoter (BCB promoter) and a dsRNA-dependent protein kinase (PKR) gene which is derived from animals or yeasts. It is selected from the group consisting of crops, vegetables, fruits, flowers or feed grains and has anti-viral effect on more than one kind of virus selected from the group consisting of CMV(cucumovirus) , TEV(tobacco etching virus), or PVY(potato virus Y).
