PURPOSE: A system and a method for estimating a repair and maintenance work using captured image are provided to enable a user to make an on-line estimate by enabling the user to select partial items or whole items, and by forming the estimate according to information inputted by the user. CONSTITUTION: A user connects to a server equipped with a picture database connected to a repair/maintenance information database through the network. A menu for searching picture data of the picture database is transmitted to a user terminal. One among the picture data provided from the server is selected and inputted to the user terminal. Information on repair/maintenance works and materials items is provided to the user terminal. The user selects a repair/maintenance work item and inputs the item to a server. The user inputs user information including the size, the height and so on to the server through the user terminal. An estimate of the repair/maintenance work is formed using the information on repair/maintenance works and materials items and the user information and provided to the user terminal.
