PURPOSE: A college information offering system and method is provided to collect news on each college, to instantly offer the news to clients, and to enable the clients to perform cyber stock transaction in which each college is a transaction item. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of driving search engine by every N time(S811), making the search engine to access servers of each college and the press organizations(S812), making the search engine search the servers for new articles(S813), making the search engine read text file of the searched news, and output the test file to a college data management module and a college data rank management module(S814), making the college data management module classify the news by the college and store classified news at a college management database(S815,S816), making the college data rank management module extract index words, determine if the indexed word is A or B, and count the number of the indexed words(S817-S824), making the rank management module assess the news of the college on a basis of the counted number(S825), making the rank management module express the assessment result as a symbol, a character or a voice and store the assessment result at a database(S826,S827), and transmitting the assessment data to clients via an e-mail.
