PURPOSE: To provide an electrostatic coating machine used as a rotary atomization type coating machine and an air atomization type coating machine by only exchanging a part of components and its method. CONSTITUTION: The electrostatic coating machine 1 has a common coating machine main body 3, an atomizing head 5 and a rotary atomizing head 7 capable of being mounted on the coating machine main body 3, and when the atomizing head 5 is mounted on the coating machine main body 3, the machine is used as the air atomization type coating machine, and when the rotary atomizing head 7 is mounted on the coating machine main body 3, the machine is used as the rotary atomization type coating machine.
