PURPOSE: An assistant feed made of the by-product of herb medicine removed of poisonous for coloring yolks, and the skin of chickens marbling meat, and activating metabolism is provided. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing an assistant feed made of the by-product of herb medicine comprises the steps of: (i) preparing the by-product of medical decoction containing carotenoid and dried herb medicine respectively; (ii) adding metallic positive ions obtained from ferrous sulphate, or manganese sulphate to prevent decomposition; (iii) drying up to 18% or less of water content respectively, and pulverizing; (iv) mixing the two parts in a ratio of 50:50, and pulverizing in 80 mesh; and (v) packing.
