-1 2 A Novel Gene Isolated from SNU-1 Cell Line Which is Treated with Prostaglandin E2 and Amino Acid Sequence Deduced Therefrom

PURPOSE: A novel gene expressed by prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) in stomach cancer cell line SNU-1 and the amino acid sequence thereof are provided. Therefore, the gene can be effectively used in the treatment of stomach cancer. CONSTITUTION: The gene expressed by prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) in stomach cancer cell line SNU-1(KCLB 00001), and represented by SEQ ID NO: 12 is identified by extracting total RNA from prostaglandin E2 untreated cell as control and from prostaglandin E2 treated stomach cancer cell line; synthesizing cDNA with radioactive isotope-labeled base by using cDNA synthesizing primer and reverse transcriptase; performing electrophoresis to select the different bands from the control; extracting DNA from the electrophoresis gel and amplifying DNA by PCR; inserting DNA into pGEM-T vector to identify its base sequence; and cloning total cDNA of gene of which expression is induced by prostaglandin E2(PGE2) using the base sequence. The amino acid sequence is represented by SEQ ID NO: 13.
