Novel alpa-tubulin gene of rice and recombinant fusion gene thereof

PURPOSE: A novel rice alpha-tubulin gene containing intron region and a recombinant fusion gene containing the same are provided to mass-produce the useful products produced by the foreign gene at the early stage of rice cultivation. CONSTITUTION: The rice alpha-tubulin4 gene is represented by SEQ ID NO: 1. The rice alpha-tubulin gene is also selected from the group consisting of DNA represented by SEQ ID NO: 2, DNA sequence containing 5'-terminal and 3'-terminal of the above DNA, and DNA sequence having 80% or more homology with the above DNA. The recombinant fusion gene construct contains a plant promoter, a plant alpha-tubulin intron I DNA fragment which is positioned downstream of the plant promoter, and optionally foreign DNA sequence encoding a foreign protein. The plant cells containing the DNA construct are produced by preparing plant cells that express alpha-tubulin; preparing the DNA construct; and transforming plant cells with the DNA construct.
