PURPOSE: A small-sum payment system and method based on a network is provided to enable a user to pay service charges using a cyber account connected with real financial product and credit cards of a plurality of financial institutions. CONSTITUTION: A communication network(10) performs a communication connection between a plurality of client PCs(20) and a small-sum payment server. A plurality of client PCs(20) displays an electronic commerce screen on which a cyber account window is overlapped in case that a formal user executes a web browser. In addition, the client PCs(20) updates and displays information on the cyber account changed according to electronic commerce. A plurality of contents providing servers(30) provide a plurality of contents. In addition, the contents providing servers(30) receive and store commerce information in case that the user purchases determined contents. A plurality of financial servers(40) receive charge approval information and customer information. A small-sum payment server makes catalogs of server information.
