PURPOSE: A method for diversifying welding operation by changing the joint position of a steel-frame pillar in steel-frame work is provided to prevent manpower from being concentrated all at once by making the joint position of the steel-frame pillar per adjacent steel-frame pillars or adjacent pole lines different, thereby installing pillar, beam and deck as a unit of one story. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of (a) installing the steel-frame at the pillar position by manufacturing a set of steel-frame pillars (1,2,3,4) into a group of two or more pieces having different lengths; (b) installing beam, girder (5) and deck (6) to the upper end of the steel-frame pillar having the lowest elevation among the set of the steel-frame pillars; (c) weld jointing therebetween after setting up two sets of steel-frame pillars (1,2,3,4) having a constant length on the steel-frame pillar having the lowest elevation among a set of the steel-frame pillars; (d) installing beam, girder (5) and deck (6) to the upper end of a steel-frame pillar having the next high elevation, and installing again the upper story steel-frame pillars on the steel-frame pillars; and (e) completing the steel-frame structure by repeating the step (d).
