PURPOSE: A process for preparing the subject tea by dipping the kernel of an acorn in water for a specified time, dry parching at a specific temperature and grinding is provided, thereby, acorn tea suitable for maintaining health is produced without deteriorating nourishing ingredients. CONSTITUTION: The kernel of an acorn is washed with water, dipped in water in changing water every 6hr, dried with hot blast to a moisture content of 8% after 24hr, dry-parched at 280deg.C and grinded to a size of 0.3 to 0.5mm to produce the titled acorn tea. The obtained acorn tea containing acornic acid, tannic acid and various minerals is useful as a health beverage.
