PURPOSE: A method for providing one-day fortune directions through E-mail or character messages is provided to calculate one-day bad luck and good luck directions for individual members using member information extracted from a database. CONSTITUTION: An information provider, who provides one-day fortune directions, extracts member information from a database that stores member information necessary to calculate one-day bad luck and good luck directions, and judges whether a member joined an E-mail service. If the member joined this service, the information provider calculates today's fortune directions through a direction calculation module, based on his member information. Calculated information is transmitted and stored through an E-mail message processor and an E-mail transmitted stack database respectively.
