PURPOSE: An optical fiber type temperature sensor by evanescent field coupling of thermal optical polymer waveguide path is provided to simplify the structure and reduce the size by omitting an element for controlling polarization by improving the sensibility of the sensor by a silicon oxide layer. CONSTITUTION: An optical fiber type temperature sensor by evanescent field coupling of thermal optical polymer waveguide path includes an optical fiber of a single mode, of which a side surface is polished for the movement of the optical resonance waves in response to the change of temperature, a plane waveguide formed of polymer having high thermo-optic effect, an upper clad silicon oxide layer of the plane waveguide for reducing polarization dependency, and a matching part for carrying out physical matching for the plane waveguide by dropping a matching solution and epoxy on polished portions on the optical fiber.
