- Persimmon calyx extract-containing composition for scavenging free radical and preparation of persimmon calyx extract

PURPOSE: A persimmon stalk extract-containing composition useful for removing free radicals and a method for producing the persimmon stalk extract are provided, which composition can be used for protection skin aging. CONSTITUTION: The persimmon stalk extract-containing composition comprises 0.00001 to 10 wt.%, preferably 0.005 to 5 wt.% of the persimmon stalk extract. The method for producing the persimmon stalk extract comprises the steps of: dipping the persimmon stalk in 1 to 15 times larger volume of the extracting solvent than the dry weight of persimmon stalk for 1 to 15 days; and concentrating the extract of persimmon stalk under reduced pressure. It further comprises the step of low temperature-aging the extract.
