METHOD FOR PREVENTING DATA LOSS OF KEYBOARD BIOS

PURPOSE: A method for preventing data loss of a keyboard BIOS(Basic Input Output System) is provided to avoid the loss of data due to interrupt wait time of a keyboard controller in a personal computer system. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of power-on resetting a system(S15), searching the input of an instruction to the system by the polling of a keyboard controller(S16), realizing the instruction(S17), searching the reception of data to the system if instruction is not inputted to the system(S18), enabling a keyboard interface if data are not received(S19), disabling a timer interrupt to prevent the loss of the data inputted by a user(S20), setting a timer count value(S21), starting timer counting(S22), and deciding the starting of data transmission from a keyboard(S23). After an input of the keyboard, the data transmitting step comprise stopping an operation of the counter, receiving the data from the keyboard, disabling the keyboard interface, converting the code of the keyboard to the system scan code, and returning to the searching step after transmitting the converted code.
