The present invention relates to a method for treating wastewater containing hexavalent chromium using the leaves of Ginkgo biloba, which are commonly found around us, as a method for treating wastewater containing hexavalent chromium, a representative heavy metal toxic substance. It replaces the existing chemical and physical treatment systems with environmentally friendly treatment systems, provides a lower cost environmental treatment system, and provides a method for treating hexavalent chromium-containing wastewater that can be easily separated from residues after treatment.
