PURPOSE: An audio data control method based on a variation in MIDI tempo is provided to allow a chorus and an accompaniment sound to harmonize with each other. CONSTITUTION: MIDI data and audio data stored in a storage medium are inputted to a central processing unit when a song is selected. The MIDI data and the audio data are analyzed and output. It is checked if there is a variation in the tempo of the MIDI data(100). When there is a variation in the tempo of the MIDI data, it is checked if the audio data is output from the central processing unit(106). When the audio data is output, the output speed of the audio data is increased by one step and a sound level is flattened by a half tone when the tempo of the MIDI data increases by one step(108). When the tempo of the MIDI data decreases by one step, the output speed is decreased by one step and the sound level is sharpened by a half tone(114).
