PURPOSE: Provided are Pseudomonas putida producing styreneoxide isomerase and phenylaldehyde reductase and a method for manufacturing phenylethanol and phenylacetaldehyde by using the same. CONSTITUTION: Pseudomonas putida(KCTC 0203BP) strain converts styreneoxide into phenylacetaldehyde by using a styreneoxide isomerase then converts phenylacetealdehyde into phenylethanol by using a phenylacetaldehyde reductase, wherein phenylacetaldehyde is selectively manufactured by heating the above strain at 100 deg.C because only styreneoxide isomerase having thermostability can maintains its activity.
