FIELD: construction of underground reservoirs formed by underground dissolving through boreholes for storage of liquid or gaseous substances in soluble impermeable rocks with beds of these rocks interbedded with partings of insoluble rocks. SUBSTANCE: floor and roof of parting of insoluble rocks are preliminarily exposed by formation of workings by dissolving due to application of external pressure built up by injection into borehole of liquid up to parting caving. Minimum volume of working exposing floor of insoluble rock parting is determined by calculation. Partition is used to tightly isolate parting floor from its roof. To increase pressure differential acting on parting of insoluble rocks with prevented borehole seal failure caused by rock hydraulic fractures at high pressures, provision is made for reduction of pressure acting on parting from below down to value corresponding to liquid column pressure with height equal to distance from ground surface to parting floor or less than said value. For this purpose, some part of liquid is withdrawn from working under parting. EFFECT: reliable controlled process of caving of insoluble rock parting. 3 cl, 3 dwg, 3 ex
