FIELD: mining industry; applicable in stoping of stratified ore deposits. SUBSTANCE: operator's cab is made in the form of sliding trough located in manway between support prop row and conveyer and coupled to shearer by means of trailing appliance with lag behind shearer to zone of support unit advance and provided with control and monitoring panel connected with shearer. Trailing appliance, according to the first version, is in the form of flexible force coupling with hoses and cables between shearer and cab moving with lag from shearer through distance A with stopping of cab at moment of shearer reverse motion at face ends for time of shearer motion in reverse direction to path 2A without disturbance of continuous functioning of cables and hoses located inside of coupling members. Trailing appliance, according to the second version, has cable layer which has a connecting track link at distance A from shearer and to which cab is coupled. Track links on length A are made reinforced and expanded to transmit the force of cab motion and location of lengths of cable and hose from shearer to cab. Device for protection of shearer operator from dust has operator's cab coupled to shearer with lag to zone of support unit advance with the help of flexible Track link length accommodating cable of shearer control from remote control panel and hose of pure air. EFFECT: simplified drive for means of operator's cab movement, presence in this means of control and monitoring panel an provided control of shearer and support under light and comfortable conditions. 4 cl, 4 dwg
