FIELD: oil and gas industry, drilling tools with hard-alloy surfacing. SUBSTANCE: process of surfacing with hard alloy is meant for protection of wear surfaces of drill bits and other drilling tools with alloy carrying coated diamond particles dispersed in metal matrix of coat and coupled to it. Layer with diamond particles can be formed from such materials and alloys as particles of wolfram carbide, wolfram/cobalt carbide and cermets such as metal carbides and metal nitrites. Coated diamond particles are predominantly sintered and have spherical form ( form of balls ). Coated diamond particles are mixed in advance with chosen materials so that metallurgical and mechanical coupling in volume of metal matrix of coat due to welding and cooling is formed. Filler rod is manufactured thanks to injection of mixture of coated diamond particles as well as hard particles such as particles of wolfram/cobalt carbide and of loose materials of filling agent into steel pipe. Surfacing with hard alloy of substrate is conducted thanks to gradual melting of filler rod over chosen surface of substrate with subsequent crystallization of molten material. Sought-for surfacing with coated diamond particles dispersed in deposited material on surface of substrate is formed as result of it.
