The insert (1) has a shaping body (3) with a guide opening slit (33) in a front side (5) to guide the broad end of the tie and a second holder device in the form of a pressure knob (17) in a rear side (7), to guide, adjust and clamp the narrow end of the tie. The shaping body is tubular and shaped like a truncated cone. The pressure knob is spring-biased in a guide recess (23) in the rear side and has a bore (29) to align with the bore (15) of the shaping body, when the pressure knob is pushed inwards. An Independent claim is included for a tie including the unit.
