The sealing panel (20) for a tunnel construction has 2 plastics plates (21,22) placed with their flat sides against one another for providing a double-walled surface seal, with their peripheral edges welded together, so that a closed inner space (25) is provided within the welded joint (23). The peripheral edges (26) of the double-walled sealing panel lying on the outside of the welded joint are used for interfitting with adjacent sealing panels before welding the sealing panels together.
