Procedure has the following steps: definition of a virtual plane through the center of the sphere (4) of the joint, definition of two position points (23, 24) in the virtual plane, definition of a virtual plane through the other part (3) of the joint, definition of two further reference points (25, 26), in the second virtual plane and linking of the two pairs of points together. An Independent claim is made for a device for positioning of two parts of a spherical joint.
