The dovetailing machine, for plug and wedge tenons, has an electrical drive assembly (2) with a groove milling tool (5) at one end through the workpiece support surface (3), to slide in a groove by a lever force. A suction hood is on the groove at the working side opposite the limit surface (6) in the tool working zone, with a transparent dust seal cap, extending down to the workpiece support surface, which can slide and be locked in place. The cap gives a seal against dust, and holds the workpiece. The movement of the lever presses the milling tool against the workpiece, and the suction draws air out of the groove where the tool is active
