New synergistic herbicidal agent for control of problem weeds is based on metamitron and glyphosate

A synergistic herbicidal agent containing metamitron and glyphosate and/or its derivatives and/or salts is new. The agent contains a combination of: 1 part by weight of metamitron of formula (I); and 0.01-100 parts by weight of glyphosate and/or its derivatives of formula (HO)2-P(O)-CH2-NH-CH2-COOR (II) and/or its salts of formula (HO)(O-)P(O)-CH2-NH-CH2-COOHQ+ (III). R = H or alkyl; Q+ = base cation.
