Determining spatial coordinates of object point by video tacheometry for geodesy by deriving coordinates from base points marked with reflectors, laser spots etc.
The method involves using a tiltable video tacheometer with a CCD video camera, aiming device and an angle measuring device. The coordinates of a desired object point are derived from base points in the terrain that are marked with respective reflectors, laser spots etc. A target image containing the marked base points and the object points is recorded and stored. The coordinates of the desired object points are determined from the position data (coordinates) in the target images. An Independent claim is included for a method of determining spatial coordinates of at least one object point. An apparatus is also claimed.
