The assembly for processing a continuous fabric strand (5) has a spray unit (7) for the treatment fluid directly in front of and/or behind the gas jet (6) in the direction (4) of fabric movement, where the gas jet moves the material. The spray unit (7) is at a gap from the gas jet (6) which is 0.1-3.0 times the square root of the gas jet (6) outlet opening surface. An additional fluid feed spray (8) is after the spray unit (7) in the direction (4) of fabric (5) travel through the assembly. A common jet box structure (3) has the gas jet (6), the spray (7) and additional spray (8) in succession in the direction (4) of fabric travel. A fabric deflection roller, and especially a reel (14), is in front of the gas jet (6). The fluid circulation system (9-11b) has a pump (10) and/or a heat exchanger (9) with the spray (7) connected to the autoclave (2). The additional spray unit (8) is incorporated into the fluid circulation system (9-11b). A control (16,17) sets the fluid vol. fed to the spray unit (7) and/or the additional spray (8), located downstream of the pump (10). The gas jet (6) is connected to a fan (12), with its suction side linked to the autoclave (2). The autoclave (2) is a pressure cylinder type, containing at least one fabric store (18) at a gap from the autoclave wall.
