The method involves using unique identifiers for the provider (A), customer (K) and transaction. The customer initiates the transaction and transmits his user ID to the provider. The customer transmits the transaction ID to the guarantor (G) and the guarantor decides whether to allow a transaction for this transaction ID. An Independent claim is also included for an application of the method for processing a transaction in boundary-transcending media, esp. the Internet.
