In the assembly at a loom to form a leno selvage, projecting carrier cams (7,8) are at the lower sections of the lifting healds (10,20) near the doup feet (HF). They work in a positive fit with the limit stops (30,31) at the doups (3). The lower end of the doups (3) is closed at the feet (HF). The feet (HF) have a swallowtail shape. Magnets (34,35) are at the lifting healds (10,20) near the head (HK) of the doups, which take the doups (3) on opposite sides with the vertical up and down movements of the lifting healds (10,20). Wear-resistant sliding units (13,23) for the leno yarns, such as of ceramic materials, are at the lifting healds (10,20). Safety limits (11,21) grip into the space of the doups (3) formed by the legs (5,6). Control cams are at the doup feet (HF). The spaces (42,43) to take the associated sections of the doup feet (HF) are in the wall of the slit holding zone (40,41) near the carrier cams (7,8), where their upper wall limits (44,45) work with a shoulder (46,47) at the doups (3).
