The method involves transporting vehicles on a transporter vehicle with a low, flat loading floor (4). A first vehicle (1) is driven on to the front end of the loading floor, the rear axle of this vehicle is raised above the loading floor and then a second vehicle (2) is driven on backwards until beneath the first vehicle. An Independent claim is also included for a transport vehicle.
