The fuel injection valve has a valve element (4) movable in a bore (3) of a valve body (1) with a closure head (5) at the combustion chamber end and a valve seal surface (6) on the valve body end for interaction with a valve seat surface (7). An injection hole (10) in at least one pressure chamber has an inlet opening and an outlet opening and is integrated into the valve body so that the inlet opening is covered by the closure head in the closed position and exposed by an outward opening motion.
