The procedure is for the manufacture of a heat insulation (7) for a container (2) with a container wall (6). It involves a number of well defined steps. Manufacturing steps: - a) Arrangement on the container wall of a heat insulation (71) with several foil layers made of heat-reflecting foils spaced apart from one another by spacers forming intermediate spaces so that the heat insulation projects over the container wall at least on one side. b) Crushing the heat insulation against a sealing body (70) by exerting a crushing pressure on the part of the heat insulation projecting over the container wall around a given crushing length, the foil layers thereby deforming so that the intermediate spaces formed between the foil layers are sealed at the sides from the sealing body.
