The method involves treating a metal foil band on one side to provide cauliflower structure, for coating with black oxide layer. The method involves a discontinuous embossing/pressing process for pressing a conductor path and circuit patterns onto a flexible substrate. A metal foil tape, which has low shear-strength due to its texture, is treated by a galvanic process on one side, to provide a 'cauliflower' structure. An additional black oxide layer is subsequently coated on the cauliflower structure. To provide continuity, the strips (52) of the metal, especially copper, foil tape or band (44), which correspond to the embossing/pressing rings (36,38), are continuously transferred on to the substrate strips (49).
