Producing a glycoprotein product (I) that stimulates tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF- alpha ) production, comprising culturing Rhodococcus fascians (DSM 12916) in a medium containing a sugar or sugar alcohol, and separating and desalting the culture medium, is new. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) (I) produced by the novel method; (2) hybridoma cell line A89-B/D91 (DSM ACC2401); and (3) a monoclonal antibody produced by the hybridoma cell line.
