Non-invasive determination of mediator synthesis capacity of a living being, comprising applying a cover (2) carrying a membrane (7) with stimulant (8) on its inner surface, to a surface of the being, is new. After an interval, the unit is removed and liberated mediator concentration in the membrane is analyzed. An Independent claim is included for a covered unit for performing the novel method.
