The mould comprises beams (3, 4), the height of which preferably determines the height of the finished slab, which include a claw on one side, that preferably has one or more clamping screws, so that the beams can be fitted together. The outsides of the beams can be smooth in order to give the slab a smooth surface finish, and/or provided with suitable raised and/or recessed profiles to give the slab a textured surface. An Independent claim is also included for a method for making the slabs using the mould, comprising placing the beams around a natural stone slab, adding concrete to the resulting cavity and allowing the concrete to set.
