Throttle setting device for i.c. engine air intake uses ramp generator for converting throttle position signal provided by one characteristic field into throttle position signal provided by second characteristic field
The throttle setting device uses a pair of characteristic fields (12,13) addressed by the engine revs and the required air intake volume or the engine revs and the required drive torque, for providing corresponding throttle position signals (sw1,sw2), used for correction of the actual throttle position. A ramp generator (24) is used for converting the throttle position signal from one characteristic field into the throttle position signal from the other characteristic field during switching between the 2 throttle settings.
