The device has a set of throttle bodies (1, 5), which is provided with a main throttle valve (3) and an adjacent throttle valve (4). The main throttle valve is arranged in an inlet port (2), and the adjacent throttle valve is arranged at an inflow side of the main throttle valve. A motor (M) is arranged in a space of the throttle bodies for opening and closing the adjacent throttle valve. The main and the adjacent throttle valves are respectively fitted to main throttle valve shafts (7, 8) and adjacent throttle valve shafts (6).
