The safety belt has a first section (1) with a series of triangular projections along each side. The other section (2) fitted with a clasp (S) with a slot (D) through which the first section fits. This has manually activated clips (A) on each side attached to hooks (H) carrying studs (5) which engage with one pair of projections on either side of the first section of the belt to fasten it in place.
