The regulation method uses a regulation circuit with a non-linear compensation element for the variator incorporated in the automatic gearbox, corresponding to the inverse model of the variator path and regulators for the pressures of both hydraulic paths of the variator. The input value for the compensation element is provided by an interference force corresponding to the model inaccuracy combined with the required value for the variator setting gradient.
