The brake disc fixing element (1) has a head (4) with a section (9) which fits into a slot (11) in a carrier (3) and a sleeve-shaped shaft (5), for reception of a screw (6) cooperating with a screw thread (13) provided by the head. The section of the head fitting into the slot has a a slit (12) , with the screw thread provided between the slit and the end of the head opposite to the shaft.
