The automobile folding sunroof panel (13) has the transverse support struts (32) for the sunroof fabric attached to tensioning bands (30) at either side, for pressing them into contact with the automobile roof when the sunroof is in its closed position. Each tensioning band is secured to the front edge of the sliding sunroof at its front end secured via a counter-bearing (28) at its rear end via a coupling element (35) which can be released without requiring tools.
