The door hinge has a pair of spaced hinge plates (6) attached to the door (3), supporting relatively rotating hinge pins (8) which have right angle sections (10) attached to the container (1) via cooperating socket sleeves (11). The ends of the right angle sections of the hinge pins are fitted with coil springs (12), for allowing limited movement of the door away from the container during opening.
