Heathland regeneration method uses removal of grass and humus layer to given depth for revelealing underlying ground layer containing heathland seeds

The regeneration method has the grass and the humus layer, consisting of rotting vegetation, removed from the degenerated heathland via a beating and mulching tool to a maximum depth of between 2 and 4 cm, so that the underlying earth containing heathland seeds is revealed for promoting re-growth. The grass and hunus layer can be removed between September and February, to allow the summer heat to be used for germination of the seeds in the revealed earth layer.
