The connecting device which connects the load chain(5) to the lift carriage(3) has a connecting element(8) form-lock connected to a holding element(9). The connecting element has a hook-form section which engages in an opening(11) in the holding element. The connecting element and holding element are formed in such a way that the position of the connecting element in relation to the holding element is fixed and form-locked in any horizontal position or in one vertical position.
