Each file sheet (10) has a tab (20) confronted by pairs of holes (31A,31B,32A,32B,33A,33B) so offset that when part of the file sheets is filed away they give one part of the filing system (13) and when the other part of the sheets is filed away they give the other part of the total system. The height (H) of the sheets is less than that of the pages being divided and the holes so paired up as to give the upper part of the system by some of the holes and the lower part of the system by the remaining holes. The individual holes per pair have identical spacing (A5) as also the pairs themselves (A6). The height (H1) of the tab (20) matches the interval (A6) between the pairs of holes. The filing system is suitable for two-hole ring type notebooks etc and the top and bottom sides of any sheet (10) enclose an angle other than 90 deg with the paired holes.
